I always feel slightly guilty when I shop for a shawl, or any other kind of fabric for that matter, here. All it takes is a hint of interest or an offhand mention of a favourite colour and piles upon piles of shawls are pulled down and unwrapped before you. By the end of the expedition, the tables are a mess of fabric that some unlucky person has to clean up.
