keep your eyes on your food

When we were kids our family always included a few floppy eared, well-loved dogs. They were as well fed as they were loved, however, they always behaved as if starved for food. We learned pretty quickly never to leave food unattended when they were around.

The same rule applies here, albeit for very different reasons....
